A month ago, I was fortunate enough to go to the South of France with my family and boyfriend for two weeks. Days were filled of shopping, site-seeing and eating as much as possible; I was in love with the French ways of living. With my huge sweet tooth, I found myself drooling past any bakery we passed by…which happened quite frequently. One afternoon in St. Tropez, my boyfriend and I went exploring when we stumbled upon an adorable french pâtisserie. From the window we spotted this hamburger looking dessert filled with berries and we couldn’t resist. The next thing I know is that we’re eating a “Tarte Tropézienne.” A new favorite! A cake like pastry cut in half and filled with a delicious creamy filling that had fresh strawberries and raspberries scattered throughout. I found the recipe and I am dying to make it.
